Regarding the recently announced reciprocal tariff measures by the U.S. government, we believe that the impact on our exports to the United States is currently limited, based on the following reasons:
- Sales to the U.S. account for approximately 4%*¹ of our Group’s revenue of 119.8 billion yen in FY2024.
- Many of the products sold to the U.S., such as raw materials for Refrigeration lubricant raw material like Isononanoic acid and 2 Ethyl hexanoic acid, fall outside the scope of the tariff measures as specified by the Office of the United States Trade Representative*².
Therefore, we recognize that the majority of our exports from Japan to the U.S. are exempt from these measures.
That said, as U.S. trade policies continue to increase uncertainty regarding the global economic outlook, our Group will remain vigilant in monitoring global market trends and will respond flexibly and swiftly as necessary.
We will also promptly disclose any new developments should the situation change.
